Have you wandered into a particularly old building and felt there’s something strange, and it don’t look good? Ray Parker Jr certainly knows the feelin! Sorry to some of the younger ones in the crowd if you didn’t catch that one. Anyway, grabbing a few drinks around town in Big D is always a good idea. You can meet up with friends and do some bar hopping. Technically, you can do that any day, but if you’re looking to spice things up, this Ghost Tour experience can help you do exactly that. After some of these stories, you might need a stiff drink, and that’s kind of the idea.

What’s Included in The Ghost and Pub Tour Experience?
The first thing that we do want to point out is that this is a walking tour! Bit of a shame because, truth be told, we were also hoping it included the Uber ride home. Especially if you’re going to be all spooked at the end of the night. In any case, the tour includes stops at 4 bars around the city. Yet the main action is probably going to happen as you’re moving from place to place. A guide fully immersed in the experience (yes, in costume and everything) is going to be your valet for the night!

This character truly knows his stuff. Each of the bars has its own spooky story, but of course, you’ll also want to know about the paranormal activity at the Adolphus Hotel. They say a lady left at the altar has been making appearances at this Dallas landmark for decades. Speaking of landmarks, you’re going to be passing by The Majestic Theater, which also has its set of stories. Keep that location in mind.
Who knows, maybe Kennedy and Lee Harvey Oswald are going to stop by for a drink! On your journey, you’ll be met with themed bar experiences. This tour is a local favorite as we make our way into the fall and closer to Halloween for obvious reasons. Also, the experience is just better when the wind gets a little chillier around here.
You’ll need to meet your guide inside Harwood Tavern, located at 333 S. Harwood Street. One of the great things about this tour is that you can stick around at the bar after it’s all set and done to cool off before that Uber ride home we talked about! The active tour lasts about 2 and a half hours, and you can stay til closing at the last bar if you’d like. Hit the “Buy Tickets” link on this page to secure access to this tour. The whole experience sets you back like $40 per person.

Want to Catch a Show at the Majestic?

As mentioned The Majestic Theater is one of the spookiest venues in town, and guess what? They’re still hosting shows out here to this day. If you want to catch a show at this famed venue at any point before or after you take the tour, you can also grab tickets through the link below with the complimentary 15% discount from your friends at Country Live. This last “Buy Tickets” box takes you to The Majestic’s Box Office.
