Tips to Find WWE Tickets for Live Events

When to Buy WWE Tickets for Regular Shows

If you’re getting a RAW, SmackDown, or even NXT show near you and you want a strategy to find the best seats at a decent rate, listen up! A lot of fans go for the panic buy when the show gets announced. Sure, that’s not a bad idea to make the purchase early, particularly if you’re looking for ringside spots or anything that’s VIP. Usually, the price for those could trend upward as we move closer to the event date. However, it might be better to monitor the prices at the start of the process and maybe make your purchase within that 60 to 30 window before the event.

WWE may not be at the peak of its powers at this point. That’s actually a good thing for fans who are looking to get tickets to a show. There’s usually that surge in price right at the launch date, but then demand can cool off around that 60 to 30 day range. This is when you can see prices starting to dip! Ticketmaster might even send spots all to their resale program. Even if that happens, don’t panic; it’s more of a marketing technique to try to simulate demand. Truth be told, demand in most cities for a regular weekly show isn’t over the top these days. Track those prices, strike when the iron’s hot!

When to Buy WWE Tickets for Pay-Per-View Events

Now, if we’re talking about some of the big Pay-Per-Views or what used to be Pay-Per-Views and Wrestlemania in particular, that’s a different animal. This yearly event behaves a lot like the Super Bowl. The first-hand tickets are going to fly off the shelves in the regular market. Is it even worth it to wait in line at Ticketmaster when they go on sale? Yes, in the sense that you’re usually getting the lowest rate. The problem is that by the time you get your shot to buy, you might end up purchasing terrible seats in a section you don’t want.

If this is an event that you really want to attend, then maybe it’s just best if you weather the storm of the excitement from the first announcement and get yourself resale tickets. Sure, the price is usually going to be higher than the “regular” price, but again, Ticketmaster sends all of those to resale anyway! Once the excitement dies down, so does demand. In this case, though, if you can purchase 3 or 4 months out, you might spot the best deals. The storylines aren’t even in road to Wrestlemania mode yet, so there’s not as much buzz. It’s a chance to catch a down turn on ticket prices. That you won’t have 60 to 30 days in. At that point, for major PPV events, WWE is ramping up its marketing efforts and shows big time, and that obviously generates demand and higher prices.

Best Seats In the House for Wrestling Matches

Ring side is an area that’s usually wider in WWE shows. A lot of times, fans are able to see the action up close and personal from these spots. It’s an amazing experience. We’ve mentioned Wrestlemania being an event that’s gotta be on your bucket list if you’re a wrestling fan. Perhaps another one on the last tied to WWE is being at those ring-side spots. It’s a completely different atmosphere than what you’ll have within the rest of the venue.

Now, it’s also true that these days those spots could go for upward of 1 or 2K a piece. That’s not necessarily on everyone’s budget. What could you do on a budget? Try to find a spot with some height! If you’re in the front rows behind the ring side, those are not ideal at all! Instead, climb a little higher and try to locate a spot that’s going to offer a view toward the middle of the ring. From here, you’ll usually have good views of the entrance area, which is also important at WWE shows. Since you’re not as close to the action, this is where you can go to potentially find deals on tickets.

Are Ring Side Spots For Kids?

Since we talked about ring-side spots, we want to address this because it’s something that a lot of people want to know. The answer is yes and no! A lot of times, these ringside sections behave like pit spots. If that’s the case and you’re having to claim a place right next to the action, maybe having kids standing up there is not ideal. They could get squished, and at times, these spots may not even allow kids under certain ages to be out there. It depends on the venue and the particular setup.

If the seating layout offers actual seats in those rows, then generally that’s a great light for kids, ring side. The only thing in this case that you’d want to ensure is that you’re in the front rows. Since there’s usually not a stadium seating layout in these sections, shorter kids might have a rough time viewing the show if you’re 10 rows deep. Keep those things in mind if you’ve got a young WWE fan that you want to bring to the show.

Do’s and Don’ts of WWE Shows

It’s one thing to dab up the wrestlers as they make their way to the ring. That’s usually something that’s encouraged. A lot of times, someone like Rey Mysterio will even approach fans during his ring walk. If you stretch your hand out to him, that’s fine. Never, ever, ever, though try and get in on the action. That includes spilling drinks or food on wrestlers or trying to defend your favorite superstar! Those are big no’s; they can get you kicked out and into some serious legal trouble.

Maybe we shouldn’t even say this, but WWE and wrestling shows in general are the last haven for yelling all sorts of absurdities. It’s a place where you can let loose in that regard, and you’ll usually be okay. Make sure that you’re voicing your frustration to performers and heckling them from afar; that’s part of the vibe. Anything that turns into a physical altercation, though with superstars or other members of the audience, is a big no-no! Other than that, come out and have a blast.

Final Thoughts on Finding Cheap WWE Tickets

Don’t be afraid to look for spots in the upper rows. They might offer some of the best broad views of the action. Also, when hunting down tickets, you almost have to be like a patient baseball batter or a surfer, even. Don’t necessarily get on the first wave. A lot of times, when the excitement dies down after the initial announcements, that’s when you’re going to be able to find better deals.

It could be rough on the budget to pick those ring-side spots. There’s no question about it. Event prices in general have gone up in the last few years. It was a COVID-recovery thing, and now prices didn’t come back down to earth. In spite of this, being ringside at a WWE event is still a once-in-a-lifetime experience that you should not be afraid to pull the trigger on. Again, if you’re smart about the ticket-buying process, you might find good deals along the way!
